The identity of a fatal gunshot victim in Glenview was released Tuesday night March 4, 2025. The man who was found dead inside a home in the block of 0-99 Glenview Road in Glenview is identified as James Solger. According to the Cook County Medical Examiners Office, the victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds. Initially, the Glenview Police Department did not release information that the death investigation, that began Sunday night, March 2, 2025, involved gunshot wounds.
Solger may have been living with the homeowner for the last couple of years, according to Julian Crews, on-scene reporter for WGN News.

Police from Glenview responded about 7:31 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2025 for a check for well being call in the block of 0-99 Glenview Road in Glenview. Inside a home they found a 61 year-old man deceased. Initially, the police department did not indicate whether there were any signs of trauma.
Initially, the identity of the male adult was not released. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner, the victim was a male/white.
The North Regional Violent Crimes Task Force (NORTAF) was assigned to assist the Glenview Police Department with the death investigation, which has not been categorized as a homicide investigation.
