Large Power Outage in Schaumburg Along Golf Rd, Friday Night

Schaumburg police were busy responding to alarms and blacked out intersections after a power outage hit about 10 p.m. Stoplights were out on Golf Road from Meacham Road to Route 53. The intersection of Algonquin Road and Arbor Drive was also reported out. Meacham Road and Higgins Road were reported O.K.

Power Outage, Hydrant Flushing Cause Minor Trouble in the Lively Blvd and Greenleaf Area of Elk Grove Village

Elk Grove village police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:45 p.m. Saturday to numerous alarms and traffic problems related to a power outage in the area of Lively Boulevard and Greenleaf Avenue. Hydrant flushing also caused water pressure fluctuations in the area that set off fire alarms and water flow fire alarms.
