Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 3:32 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2026 to a report of a crash with injuries at Arlington Heights Road and Hintz Road in Arlington Heights.
Police, firefighters and paramedics upon arrival discovered a three-vehicle crash in the intersection with at least one person injured. Arlington Heights Fire Department paramedics transported on patient to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
The crash involved four vehicles: a silver Porsche Cayenne, a black Mercedes SUV, a white Infiniti sedan, and possibly a white Volkswagen SUV. The Porsche with rear-end damage appeared to have a fuel leak involving high octane premium gasoline. The gasoline on the ground was absorbed with an absorbent. All vehicles, except the Volkswagen, had moderate damage. The Volkswagen, apparently had very minor damage.
Initially, no information on charges or citations was available.
Arlington Heights Road as blocked in both directions near the intersection until about 4:09 p.m.
