Raising Cane’s is part of recent Town & Country Shopping Center development with almost $1.4 million in tax increment financing (TIF), which also includes an Amazon Fresh grocery store. The yet unnamed grocery store (officially) is scheduled to open later in 2022. The Village Board of Arlington Heights approved the TIF to assist with financing to pay of upgrades to the shopping center and construction of Raising Cane’s and Amazon Fresh.

Raising Cane’s was initially scheduled to open in October 2021, but the national hiring shortage and the COVID-19 pandemic surge last Fall affected on-schedule opening for the new restaurant.

The Amazon Fresh store at 325 East Palatine Road in Arlington Heights took on the look of the exterior style of an Amazon Fresh store in early December 2021, as construction workers completed some of the final touches on the exterior facade at the front of the store during the last week of November and the first week of December 2021. There is no official confirmation that the grocery store is an Amazon Fresh store, but now that the appearance can be compared to the Schaumburg Amazon Fresh store on Golf Road in Schaumburg, the Arlington Heights store is undeniably going to be an Amazon Fresh store. The unconfirmed news in November 2020 that Raising Cane’s was on the way to Arlington Heights, and that an Amazon Fresh store was under construction in Arlington Heights generated a lot of excitement for residents and nearby neighborhoods.
