MOUNT PROSPECT POLICE MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY UPDATE
Mount Prospect Police are investigating multiple residential burglaries in the far northeast section of the Village which occurred between March 1 and March 16, 2012. The affected neighborhoods are bordered by Seminole Lane on the north, Kensington Road on the south, River Road on the east, and Wolf Road on the west.

MULTIPLE BURGLARY INVESTIGATION
LOCATION: 1700 block of Aralia Drive
200 block of Ivy Lane (attached shed) Arrest made
1700 block of Laurel Drive
900 block of Pecos Lane
900-1000 blocks of Moki Lane
OFFENSE: Residential Burglaries
TIME SPAN: March 1 through March 16, 2012
Early to late evening hours
4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
METHOD OF ENTRY: Forced entry to doors or windows – both front and
rear of the homes.

The preliminary investigation revealed the recent burglaries occurred in the early evening hours to late evening hours when the homeowners were away from their homes. The offender or offenders used force to pry open windows or doors located primarily on the rear of the homes. Items taken in the burglaries include jewelry, cash, and other valuables that are easily transported.

Mount Prospect Police request all residents be extra vigilant and report any suspicious persons, cars or activity in their neighborhood by calling 9-1-1. Mount Prospect Police have increased patrols in the affected area and will continue to do so for the next several days.
