Day 1 of Lollapalooza opens today at Grant Park, and planned protests/demonstrations proclaimed to be against gun violence in Chicago are expected to impact the evening rush beginning about 4 p.m. Intermittent closures are expected between Fullerton/Irving Park and around Wrigley Field, including Clark Addison, Belmont and Sheffield, according to the Chicago Police Department.
