Smoky Apartment Fire on Miller Lane in Buffalo Grove

Buffalo Grove Fire Department responded about 3:15 p.m. Thursday to a report of smoke in the hallway of an apartment in the 1100 block of Miller Lane in Buffalo Grove. A fire alarm was also activated at the apartment. Arlington Heights firefighters from a fire station only one block away arrived first, and found heavy smoke on the first floor of the apartment building. The fire was quickly knocked down. Lincolnshire – Riverwoods Fire Protection District also assisted Buffalo Grove Fire Department.

Another fire alarm was activated at another apartment complex nearby minutes after the first apartment fire, but no fire was reported.
