Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Schaumburg responded about 4:15 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2026 to a report of a serious crash involving a motorcycle.

According to the Village of Schaumburg, at approximately 4:15 p.m. Schaumburg police, firefighters and paramedics responded to the intersection of Golf Road and Commons Drive for a traffic crash involving a Nissan Rogue and a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist and passenger of the motorcycle were deceased at the scene when police, firefighters and paramedics arrived. Initially, authorities did not release names, ages or hometowns for the deceased. The Cook County Medical Examiners Office confirmed that a male and female were deceased at the crash scene.

One passenger in the Nissan was transported with apparent non-life-threatening injuries to an undisclosed hospital by Schaumburg Fire Department paramedics.

A witness described seeing the crash with a male rider and a female rider traveling an estimated 100 MPH eastbound on Golf Road. The witness also described that the driver of the Nissan Rogue was northbound on Commons Drive, attempting to enter the eastbound lanes of Golf Road by making a right turn from Commons Drive. The intersection of Golf Road and Commons Drive is a T-intersection.

According to the witness, when the motorcycle and the SUV crashed, the female hit the windshield of the Nissan Rogue and fell to the ground, unresponsive. The male (apparent motorcycle operator) also fell to the ground, unresponsive. Citizens rushed to help, but discovered apparent fatal injuries. According to the witness, no CPR was attempted.

Authorities have not confirmed the witness account, but interviewed several witnesses of the crash, including the witness that spoke with CARDINAL NEWS.

The impact of the crash caused significant damage to the driver’s side of the Nissan Rogue, which was at rest facing westbound on Golf Road. The crash apparently caused the Nissan Rogue to rotate about 180 degrees, as the damage to the Nissan was on the opposite side of the compact SUV from the position of the motorcycle. In other words, the damage was on the east side of the Nissan Rogue, while the motorcycle wreckage was on the west side of the Nissan Rogue.

Golf Road between Plum Grove and Commons Drive was closed in both directions for an extended investigation, and the investigation with road closure continued after 9:30 p.m.

Several citizens arrived at the intersection to observe the crash scene and the investigation by the Schaumburg Police Department and MCAT-STAR (Major Case Assistance Team – Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction).
