Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 11:03 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2026 to a report of a crash with injuries at Arlington Heights Road and Rand Road in Arlington Heights.
Police, firefighters, and paramedics on arrival discovered a three-vehicle crash involving a silver BMW 535i sedan and a blue SUV with severe front-end damage, and a black Tesla with lesser damage.
Initially, there was no information available regarding whether there were any EMS transports. Possibly, a person or persons traveling in the BMW sedan were transported by EMS, but this was not confirmed by authorities.
The drivers of the BMW and the SUV collided in the intersection, and the SUV veered into the Tesla while the Tesla driver was waiting at a red light in the right lane of westbound Rand Road (US-12).
The crash scene was cleared by about 11:40 a.m.
