Police, firefighters and paramedics from St. Charles responded about 5:09 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2025 to a report of a child hit by a vehicle in a driveway in the block of 4000 Royal Fox Drive in St. Charles.
Upon arrival, officers located a neighbor performing CPR on a 5-year-old child who had been struck. Care was immediately transferred to police and paramedics, continued to perform life-saving measures on the scene — including Advanced Life Support. The child was transported to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as an immediate family member and was fully cooperative throughout the investigation, according to the St. Charles Police Department.
The St. Charles Police Department is continuing to investigate the fatal crash and is assisted by the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team (KCART). The St. Charles Police Department is encouraging anyone who might have information regarding this incident to contact the St. Charles Police Department at 630.377.4435.
