Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Belvidere Rd Near Staben Ave in Park City — Identity Released

Park City and Waukegan Police Departments as well as the Gurnee and Waukegan Fire Departments responded about 6:39 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 to the area of Belvidere Road (Route 120) and Staben Avenue in Park City to a report of CPR being administered to a pedestrian after a vehicle versus pedestrian crash. Police and Fire personnel arrived on the scene and found a pedestrian who was struck in the roadway by an SUV. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene, which was located near the border of Park City and Waukegan.




Based on the severity of the incident, the Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) of Lake County responded to the scene to conduct the crash investigation.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to the scene.

The deceased was identified as 39-year-old Christopher Hall, of Park City. According to the Lake County Coroner’s Office, an autopsy was conducted at the Lake County Coroner’s Office on Monday, January 8, 2024. Preliminary autopsy results indicate that Mr. Hall died from blunt force injuries suffered as a result of the crash.

Belvidere Road was closed between Knight Avenue and Dromey Street for an investigation.

The crash remains under investigation by the Park City Police Department and MCAT. Belvidere Road is a 4-lane highway with left turn lanes and painted median through a commercial zone with a Speed Limit of 35 MPH, according to Google Maps Street View images.
