A mother and her three daughters were shot and killed Sunday, January 21, 2024 in an incident described as a domestic incident in a home in the block of 7400 173rd Place in Tinley Park.
The Cook County Medical Examiner has released the identities of the four women as 53-year-old Majeda Kassem, 25-year-old Halema Kassem, 25-year-old Zahia Kassem and 24-year-old Hanan Kassem.
Tinley Park police, firefighters and paramedics responded about 11:22 a.m. Sunday, January 21, 2024 to a report that a man’s wife was shot. Police discovered four victims in the house, took a weapon and suspect in custody, determined the scene was secure, and notified paramedics that the scene was safe for them to move up to assess the victims. The four females victims were pronounced dead at the scene. According to Andrew Ramos (CBS Chicago), the daughters were aga 18 or older.
