Deerfield police, firefighters, and paramedics responded about 7:20 a.m. Sunday, July 23, 2023 to a report of a person struck by a vehicle near 750 Osterman Avenue in Deerfield. The crash scene was near Il-Forno Pizza & Pasta near the intersection of Robert York Avenue and Osterman Avenue.
Deerfield police were first on the scene, and the female adult pedestrian was found with a serious head injury.
Deerfield police, the Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team and the Lake County Coroner’s Office are investigating the fatal pedestrian incident.
