Naperville police officers responded about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 19,2023 to the report of a bank robber at the BMO Harris Bank branch located at 320 West Diehl Road, Naperville, Illinois. The FBI also responded to the confirmed bank robbery.
According to initial reports, the robbers made a verbal demand for funds while brandishing a handgun. No injuries were reported.
Images of the offenders were captured by security cameras.
The first suspect, described as a black male with an approximate height of 6 feet, was noted to have an athletic to thin build. H was wearing a black hoodie, a white shirt, black pants, and white shoes.
The second suspect, also described as a black male, was described as less than 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was observed donning a black hoodie, black shirt, black pants, and black shoes during the bank robbery.
Immediately after the incident, the two suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, eluding capture. Initially there were no images or description of the vehicle available.
Authorities launched an intensive search operation to locate the offenders, but police believe the offenders immediately left the area.
The FBI urges anyone with information about the identities or whereabouts of the suspects to come to call the designated hotline at 312-421-6700 or submit information online at tips.fbi.gov.
Tips are anonymous.
The FBI released images of the suspects in the hope that the community will assist in identifying the offenders.
Authorities are urging residents to exercise caution and to report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement promptly.
