Hillary Clinton told the audience, “We can’t get distracted by the latest culture war nonsense or a new right wing lie on Fox or Facebook.” She added, “By the way, they’ve been coming after me again lately in case you might have noticed. It’s funny, the more trouble Trump gets into, the wilder the charges and conspiracy theories about me seem to get. So now his accountants have fired him and investigations draw closer to him, and right on too, the noise machine gets turned up doesn’t it.
Clinton’s comments followed new allegations that Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign tried to “infiltrate” servers at Trump Tower in 2016. Last Friday night, Special counsel John Durham filed a motion that pertained to a possible conflict of interest related to the interaction of former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann with the FBI.
THe frling fomr the Durham investigation alleges that Sussmann had assembled these anti-Trump allegations on behalf of at least two clients, including the Clinton campaign.
The Clinton-affiliated lawyer has been charged with lying to the FBI. Sussmann has denied the allegation, and left leaning pundits have described the allegations as ‘old news.’
