Man Shot Dead in Apparent Road Rage Incident Near Bartlett Rd and Oltendorf Rd Streamwood

Police and firefighters, and paramedics from Streamwood responded about 5:19 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2022 to a report of a shooting at Bartlett Road and Oltendorf Road in Streamwood.

A male shooting victim was found in the middle of the road near Bartlett Road and Oltendorf Road after an apparent road rage shooting. Neighbors that approached the victim noticed multiple wounds.




The suspect possibly fled in a white Ford sedan and then turned himself in at the Streamwood police station. The victim was possibly driving a blue work van or pickup truck with a cap.

The shooting victim was located south of Oltendorf Road.




The shooting victim was identified at Scott Mattison, age 46, of Glendale Heights. Mattison was treated by Streamwood Fire Department paramedics and transported to AMITA Health St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates where he was pronounced dead about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2022. Scott Mattison was shot multiple times.

The suspect is in custody, but charges have not been announced by Streamwood Police Department.
