A ninth victim has died after the AstroWorld concert event by Travis Scott on Friday night, November 5, 2021 at NRG Stadium. The death was reported on Thursday, November 11, 2021.
Texas A&M student Bharti Shahani, age 22, was reported dead after being placed on a ventilator and after being declared brain with no brain activity since early in her hospitalization.
Bharti’s family said she was was critically injured during the AstroWorld 2021 festival in Houston, Texas and was in the ICU fighting for her life.
Bharti Shahani was with family members, and was separated from her family members when the crowd surged.
Bharti Shahani had been treated with CPR and transported to Houston Methodist Hospital.
