Lake County K-9 Locates Man that Fled Hospital About One Mile from Hospital

Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded about 8:40 p.m. Friday August 21, 2020 when a 26 year-old man in a mental crisis fled from Good Shepherd Hospital in the block of 400 Route 22 in unincorporated Barrington. Sheriff’s deputies arrived and began searching for the man. Deputy Somerville and his K9 Partner Diesel arrived and began tracking the scent of the man. K9 Diesel located the man about a mile away from the hospital in thick weeds, north of the roadway. He was transported back to the hospital for care, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
