Extrication Crash with Injuries on Route 53 South of Rand Rd Near Entrance Ramp, Palatine

Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:02 PM Sunday October 8, 2017 to a report of a crash with injuries on southbound Route 53, just south of Rand Road, 42.128552, -88.005013 (Route 53 and Rand Road Palatine, Il). Illinois State police on scene requesting paramedics.

A second ambulance was requested by 2:08 PM — Arlington Heights Fire Department Ambulance 4 was assigned.

Crews on scene a report the crash involved entrapment about 2:08 PM, and requested an extrication response.

Southbound Route 53 traffic was backed up past Dundee Road about 2:40 p.m.

The crash was also reported on Waze.
