Fire at Sunrise Electronics on Martin Lane, Elk Grove Village

Elk Grove Village firefighters/paramedics and police responded about 9:05 p.m. Wednesday to an activated alarm at a commercial building at 130 Martin Lane, Sunrise Electronics. Firefighters reported a fire at the scene, which they later learned was a circuit board manufacturing facility.

Des Plaines and Elk Grove Township firefighters assisted Elk Grove Village firefighters. The fire was reported extinguished at about 9:25 p.m.

Firefighters were working to ventilate the building, and were taking gas readings. A contractor was called for chemical cleanup.
