Two Offenders Break Down Front Door on East Fairview St, Resident Interrupts Possible Burglary Attempt

Arlington Heights police responded about 7:05 PM Wednesday to a report of a burglary to residence in progress in the 1100 block of East Fairview Street. Police received a report that two male/white subjects in their late teens or early 20’s banged on the front door and then broke the door down. When the homeowner came to the door, the two males fled eastbound on Fairview Street toward Scarsdale Condominiums.

The offenders were also described as wearing light-colored sweatshirts or jackets. The homeowner was not certain if the subjects were male/whites.

Police responded to the house and several units also responded to search the neighborhood.

An evidence technician was immediately called to the scene. Arlington Heights police are investigating.
