Dent Repair Scam Attempt Reported Again at Best Buy, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 4:50 PM Wednesday to a report of a ‘Gypsy’ scam in the parking lot at Best Buy, 615 East Palatine Road. Two male/Hispanics were reported to be driving around in the Best Buy parking lot and were offering to repair vehicles with dents.

The offenders were described as two male/Hispanics.

The offenders were driving in a white Chevy Suburban.

A simliar case was reported on December 29, 2010 with two male/Hispanics allegedly denting vehicles and then offering to repair the vehicles. Those suspects were reported to be riding in a black SUV. Arlington Heights police are investigating. No word on any police contact with the subjects, and no arrests reported.
