At Least 6 Vehicle Burglaries in Buffalo Grove Overnight

Buffalo Grove police received reports of multiple vehicle burglaries in the area of Villa Verde, Oak Creek Drive, Weidner and Hapsfield Lane in Buffalo Grove. As of 8:30 a.m. Buffalo Grove police were investigating at least three burglaries in the area of 2 Villa Verde, at least one burglary in the 600 block of Hapsfield Lane, at least one burglary in the 0-99 block of Oak Creek Drive, and at least one vehicle burglary in the 700 block of Weidner Road.

Palatine Police were searching for teen burglars that were described as wearing all black and carrying black backpacks. One of the teens was arrested at his home by Arlington Heights police. No details available on how many suspects were in custody, but Buffalo Grove police were checking with Palatine police for proceeds, if any existed, from burglaries that occurred in Buffalo Grove.
