Winter Storm Watch in Effect from Sunday Evening Through Monday

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Winter Storm Watch for snow that is expected to develop Sunday evening in the area north of Interstate 80 and accumulate to greater than 6 inches by Monday morning. Snow accumulation is expected to continue through the day on Monday and reach at least 10 inches through the day Monday. Heaviest accumulation is expected in McHenry and Lee County and near the shores of Lake Michigan in Lake County and Cook County.

The Winter Storm Watch was issued Saturday February 20, 2010.

Some snow is also expected Saturday and began falling just before 6:00 a.m., but it is not part of the Winter Storm Watch.
