Skinheads, Neo-Nazi Demonstrate in Dresden, Germany

SAT FEB 14 2009 — About 6,000 German skinhead, anti-immigrant, and neo-Nazi groups in Dresden held one of their biggest demonstrations since German reunification in 1990.

The groups tied to the National Democratic Party used the 64th anniversary of the 1945 firebombing of Dresden to hold a “mourning march.” Counter-demonstrations by unions and political activists brought crowd totals to about 10,000.
