Arlington Heights police received a report of a crash on the east side of Hersey High School about 7:25 a.m. Friday. A black Scion and a silver Scion with at least one vehicle with airbag deployment was reported. No injuries were reported.
Both vehicles, which crashed on Waterman Avenue near Hersey High School received enough damage to require Hillside Towing to tow the vehicles from the crash scene.
Arlington Heights police received a report of a scam/theft attempt on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 4:00 p.m.
The offender attempted to enter a home in the 1600 block of North Kennicott with a ruse entry. He said that he needed to view the victim’s backyard as he would be doing some work there. When the offender attempted to get the victim to go out into the backyard, the victim realized something was wrong and called 911. The offender immediately fled the area.
The offender was described as a male with olive complexion, 5′10″ with a stocky build in his 40’s. He was possibly driving a white SUV — likely a Jeep Wrangler.
Arlington Heights police received a report about 7:00 p.m. for a solicitor that was selling meat out of a white van in the 700 block of North Arlington Heights Road.
Arlington Heights police received a report of residential burglary in the 600 block of East Suffield Drive. A resident came home to find the house broken into at the sliding glass door. Items were missing from inside the home.

Arlington Heights police received a report about 9:50 a.m. Thursday of criminal damage to property at Hickory Meadows Park in the 600 block of East Marion. Police received a report of spray-painted walls and a broken window. Arlington Heights Police are investigating.
Arlington Heights police arrested a DUI driver at about 3:30 a.m. Thursday at Rand Road and Camp McDonald Road. The driver was transported to Arlington Heights police headquarters just after 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
