Arlington Heights police received a report just before noon that six vagrant males, that appeared to be intoxicated, were acting disorderly at Northwest Highway and Dunton Avenue near the train station.
Police found no alcohol in the group’s possession, and they were leaving the area.
A report of shots fired at the Apple Store Clarendon in Arlington, Virginia shortly after the store opened Friday morning at about 10 a.m. EDT. The shooting is possibly related to an armed robbery.
At least one person, possibly a woman victim, has been injured (possibly shot in the shoulder) and has been transported out of the store by paramedics.
Witnesses report hearing a loud gunshot coming from a back room and a woman screaming. The woman said someone had been shot. The gunshot was heard after the sound of a lot of boxes falling in the back room.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:
The suspect is described as black/male with a light to medium build, in his twenties (or 30-45) and wearing a fake beard. Some of his clothing was a beige color. He had a dark baseball cap and his shirt was a short sleeve shirt. The offender fled from the back of the Apple Store — out a back door.
There is a heavy police response from Arlington Police Department at the store and police are using at least one U.S. Park Police helicopter and K-9 units to search for the suspect. A search perimeter has been established around the Apple Store location at 2700 Clarendon Boulevard in Arlington, Virginia. The store is temporarily closed.
The Apple Store Clarendon is located in the Market Common outdoor shopping center about two miles northwest of the Pentagon on the west side of the Potomac River. Arlington National Cemetery is located between the Pentagon and the Apple Store Clarendon.

LATE REPORT …
JUN 30 2009 — Arlington Heights police received a report from an off-duty police that the officer was following an apparent DUI driver that had just hit a fire hydrant in the area of Central Road and Old Wilke Road at about 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009.
An Arlington Heights police officer made a traffic stop on Golf Road, just east of Algonquin Road at about 11:25 p.m. — one DUI driver in custody by midnight.
Arlington Heights received several calls for a loud and rowdy party in the 700 block of South Roosevelt Avenue about 12:50 a.m. Friday. Under-aged adults were running, apparently intoxicated, in the streets and yards, while screaming and throwing beer bottles. One person was injured and was transported to Northwest Community Hospital.
Because of the large crowd, police officers called for additional backup for the three initial police squads that responded to the call. Several young males and females were arrested and transported to the Arlington Heights police station.
Arlington Heights police arrested a DUI driver in a Silver Intrepid on a traffic stop near 530 North Walnut Avenue in Arlington Heights just after midnight — early Friday morning.
UPDATE July 3, 2009 12:34 a.m.
Two male adults and one male juvenile arrested about midnight after heavy police patrol in the area of The Pointe Apartments.
Arlington Heights police received a report at about 11:20 p.m. of a burglary to vehicle in the 1400 block of Woods Drive. A resident of the apartments heard glass break and looked outside to see a broken window in a black vehicle with two males leaving the scene.
The two males were last seen walking westbound through the parking lot of The Pointe Apartments. One of the males was wearing black shorts. The crime happened between 11:05 p.m. and 11:20 p.m.
