All Crew Members Safe After USAF B-52 Crashes at Guam Air Base

The U.S. Air Force says a B-52 crashed on Guam shortly after takeoff on Thursday, but all seven crew members made it out safely. No injuries were reported.

A B-52H Stratofortress bomber aborted takeoff and crashed at Andersen Air Force Base on the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam, the Air Force reported Wednesday night.

None of the seven crew members aboard was injured.

The B-52H Stratofortress, part of the 69th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, was on a routine training mission when it crashed at the base’s flight line, or maintenance area, about 8:30 a.m. (6:30 p.m. ET), the Air Force reported.
