Quick Stop on a Fireplace Fire “Out Of Control” on George St Near Dove St, Rolling Meadows

Rolling Meadows police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:05 PM Tuesday to report of a fireplace fire “out of control” in the block of 2200 George Street Rolling Meadows, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a fireplace fire was out of control, but did not see any sign of fire outside the house upon arrival. A good amount of smoke was visible outside from the chimney.

Firefighters worked inside the home and reported the fire was extinguished by about 7:15 p.m.

Palatine firefighters assisted Rolling Meadows firefighters.
