Barbara Lippert & Cody Johns sit down with CNN’s Frank Sesno to discuss how Vine has become an outlet for journalism and marketing.

Vine is a mobile app owned by Twitter that enables its users to create and post short video clips. The service was introduced with a maximum clip length of six seconds. Twitter acquired the app in October 2012.

Vine debuted as a free iOS app on the iPhone and iPod Touch on January 24, 2013. Since June 2, 2013, Vine has been available for Android devices as a free app, similar to the iPhone version.

A lot silliness, but advertisers might make a good craft out of Vine.

American Idol/Wheeling native Haley Reinhart used the Vine app to offer her perspective of the Buffalo Grove Days parade in September 2013. She included the video on her Twitter account (above).
