Escape Artist Anthony Martin Successfully Jumped in Locked Coffin Skydive Over Ottawa Illinois

A daredevil landed safely after freeing himself from chains, cuffs, and a locked coffin during a skydive. Anthony Martin parachuted into a field in Ottawa, Illinois.

One major concern when you’re an escape artist jumping out of an airplane in a coffin is centrifugal force. If the coffin spins too rapidly, the force could prevent an escape artist, such as Anthony Martin from performing his escape.

Anthony Martin said that once the jump occurred the “coffin” was a little more unstable than he expected it to be. Skydivers outside the “coffin” helped make sure it had a good free fall.

Rook Nelson, who owns Skydive Chicago is a friend of Anthony Martin.

Martin is also promoting his book escape or die, as part of the jump.
