A 34 year-old North Chicago man was stabbed to death in North Chicago overnight Saturday/Sunday on 10th Street in a neighborhood of apartment buildings and vacant commercial buildings where North Chicago borders Waukegan.
Police, firefighters and paramedics from North Chicago responded about 12:20 a.m. Sunday, July 19, 2026 to a report of a stabbing on 10th Street just east of Adams Street on the north side of North Chicago near Waukegan.
Once the scene was secured North Chicago Fire Department paramedics treated the stabbing victim and transported him to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he was pronounced dead.
Police began the homicide investigation, which included a Jeep Liberty at the scene. The investigation is ongoing. Initially, no suspect description was available, and there is no indication whether a suspect is in custody.
