Bicyclist Hit by a Metra Train at the Schaumburg Metra Train Station

Police, firefighters, and paramedics from Schaumburg and Roselle responded about 7:33 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2026 to a report of a bicyclist hit by a Metra train while crossing the tracks near the east side of the Schaumburg Metra Station, 2000 Springinsguth Road in Schaumburg.

A 37-year-old man suffered serious injuries, but was not unconscious. The man was transported to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

The bicyclist was hit by Milwaukee District West train No. 2203.

Trains in the area were halted or delayed. Outbound trains were initially halted, and all trains were moving in the area by 9:15 a.m.

Metra police and Schaumburg police are investigating.
