Rear-End Crash involving 4 vehicles at Arlington Heights Road and Lillian Street Arlington Heights; and another at Pine Avenue and Eastman Street, minutes apart (CARDINAL NEWS). YouTube Tips ⓘ
Police officers responded to two crashes that occurred minutes apart and about 1.6 miles apart in Arlington Heights during a heavy traffic period Saturday afternoon in the Uptown Shopping District of Arlington Heights.
Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 3:15 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026 to a report of a crash with injuries at Arlington Heights Road and Lillian Avenue in Arlington Heights.
Police on arrival discovered a rear-end, chain reaction crash involving four vehicles in the northbound right lane of Arlington Heights Road, just north of the driveway of the Town & Country Center.
At least one person was assessed by paramedics. There was no initial information confirming whether there were any EMS transports from the Lillian Avenue crash scene.
Another crash occurred at Pine Avenue and Eastman Street. The crash appeared to be a “property damage only” crash that did not involve injuries. The crash involved a gray Subaru sedan and a dark blue Hyundai Elantra sedan. The impact occurred in the intersection, and the Subaru ended up on the parkway of the northeast corner of the intersection.
The causes of each of the crashes were initially unknown. However, police may have been responding to the crash at Pine Avenue and Eastman Street first, before the crash occurred at Arlington Heights Road and Lillian Avenue. It was initially unknown if the crash near Lillian Avenue was related to a motorist pulling over for an emergency vehicle and being hit from behind.
