Chicago Suspect Charged with Attempted Murder and Armed Robbery

Demontre Enos, age 30, of the 3500 block of West Lexington Street in Chicago was arrested by members of the Chicago Police Department and U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force on March 31, 2026, in the 3100 block of West Flournoy Street He was identified as the offender suspected of shooting and seriously injuring a 48-year-old male victim in the 600 block of South Independence Boulevard on January 20, 2026. The offender also took personal property at gunpoint from a 42-year-old male victim and a 67-year-old female victim in the same incident. The offender was placed into custody and subsequently charged accordingly (11th District).

One (1) felony count – Attempt – Murder – First Degree

Two (2) felony counts – Robbery – Armed with Firearm
