
Palatine police, firefighters and paramedics responded to a call for help Friday night, November 15, 2025, that indicated there may have been a stabbing and a shooting, but according the Palatine Police Department, an 18 year-old male was found injured in a domestic battery that occurred in a physical altercation involving family members on Carter Street north of Colfax Street.
Police, firefighters and paramedics from Palatine responded about 9:30 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025 to a a report of a disturbance where there may have been a stabbing or a shooting in the block of 300 North Carter Street in Palatine. Upon arrival, Palatine police officers located an injured 18-year-old male and coordinated immediate medical care with paramedics who were staged nearby. The injured male was treated and transported by paramedics to an area hospital. His is injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
According to the Palatine Police Department, early information suggested the possibility of gunfire, but a comprehensive investigation found no indication that a firearm was involved and no evidence that any shots were fired. The incident was determined to be a domestic-related physical altercation between family members, with no threat to neighbors and the community, according to the Palatine Police Department.
The Palatine Police Department did not reveal the mechanism of injury involved with the male victim. Also, the Palatine Police Department did not charge anyone with Aggravated Battery, which would have been associated with a stabbing. However, following the investigation, Tianna Davis, 23, of the block of 4400 West End Avenue in Chicago, was charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic battery. Davis was transported to the Leighton Criminal Court Building in Chicago for a detention hearing on Saturday, November 15, 2025.
