Police, firefighters and paramedics from New York City responded Monday evening, July 28, 2025 to a report of an active shooter at an office building located at or near 345 Park Avenue, New York City.

UPDATE 9:15 PM ET:
One female police officer killed, four civilians killed, shooter killed himself. The police officer was working as a security guard at the building, and was apparently not on-duty with NYPD. Press conference with updates scheduled at 10:00 p.m. ET.

An NYPD police officer and several civilians were reported shot in a Midtown Manhattan high-rise office building on the 33rd floor of 345 Park Avenue in Manhattan. Some victims were also located in a stairwell, according to FOX News.
Shooting may have also occurred on the first floor 345 Park Avenue, which is the building that includes office space for Blackstone and NFL headquarters.

The building was placed on lockdown.
Initially, police sources had said that a police officer and a civilian were shot on the street at the location, which was incorrect.
The conditions of the victims were initially unknown.
