Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 1 arrested 36-year-old Lamarkcus R. Ferguson of Country Club Hills, Illinois for Attempted Murder, stemming from a recent expressway shooting investigation. On July 9, 2025, ISP officers responded to an expressway shooting on Interstate 94 northbound at 47th Street in Chicago. Two victims had been struck by gunfire and were transported to an area hospital for treatment. After a thorough investigation, ISP agents identified Lamarkcus R. Ferguson as a suspect.
