Zion Police Investigating Shooting of a 20 Year-Old Male on Willow Lane, Zion

Zion police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:15 p.m. Sunday February 16, 2020 to the block 2100 Bethesda Boulevard to a report that a male victim was shot. The victim reported that he was shot in the block of 2900 Willow Lane after he went there to meet with an unknown female subject. He was shot one time in the abdomen while he was seated in his car by an offender described as a male/Hispanic of medium height and build. The victim then drove to the 2100 block of Bethesda Boulevard.

Zion Fire/Rescue transported the victim to Vista Medical Center East. The injury is not initially considered to be life threatening.

Detectives are actively investigating this aggravated battery with a firearm incident. Anyone with information on this crime is urged to contact the Zion Police Department at 847-746-4110 or Lake County Crime Stoppers at 847-662-2222.
