Deep Fryer Fire at McDonald’s on Arlington Heights Rd Near McHenry Rd, Buffalo Grove

Police and firefighter/paramedics from Buffalo Grove responded about 6:25 a.m. Sunday January 19, 2020 to an activated fire alarm at McDonald’s, 1200 North Arlington Heights Road in Buffalo Grove. Firefighters on arrival reported smoke in the restaurant by 6:31 a.m. Sunday, and an active deep fryer fire also by 6:31 a.m.

The call was upgraded to a confirmed fire at about 6:31 a.m. Initially no injuries were reported. Employees were also on the scene.

The small fire was extinguished by 6:50 a.m.
