The rear window of a VW Jetta was completely smashed by falling ice on Delaware Place near 875 North Michigan Avenue near the John Hancock Center.

The owner of a VW Jetta discovered the back window of his vehicle was smashed Tuesday morning January 14, 2020 by falling ice while the vehicle was parked near 875 North Michigan Avenue formerly known at the John Hancock Center.

Yesterday’s high temperature was 39°F at O’Hare. Temperatures were above freezing from midnight Monday/Tuesday to about 6:00 p.m. Tuesday January 14, 2020. Yesterday’s temperatures aligned with normal temperatures for late February.
