Police Officer Threatened by Man with A Knife: One in Custody on East Golf Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 5:30 PM Thursday to back-up a police officer who discovered a subject making threats toward the police officer in the 600 block of East Golf Road. Police reported that a male subject was threatening a police officer. Police next reported that the subject displayed a knife. The police officer responded by drawing his handgun and had the suspect subdued on the ground. The suspect was in custody by 5:33 p.m.

Police call paramedics for the subject, and the subject was transported in custody, and was sent for evaluation at Northwest Community Hospital. No injuries reported.
