Car Fire Totals Toyota Camry on Higgins Road Just West of Golf Rd, Schaumburg

Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:57 PM Wednesday to a car fire at Higgins Road and Churchill. Firefighter/paramedics received a report that a Toyota Camry was fully-involved and was starting to explode.

Police attempted to stop the fire with a fire extinguisher. No injuries were reported. Firefighters extinguished the fire within 10 minutes.

Some westbound lanes of Golf Road and of Higgins Road were closed during the incident.
