Underground Fire Near White Hen on North Arlington Heights Rd, Buffalo Grove; Com Ed Related

Buffalo Grove police and firefighters responded about 5:43 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 and investigated smoke coming from underground about five feet from the rear of the building where White Hen is located, 1157 North Arlington Heights Road.

Emergency responders received a report that smoke coming from a sinkhole in the pavement in an area where ComEd was working Monday. ComEd was contacted and responded back to the scene. ComEd informed emergency responders that the area would be excavated again and repair work would be underway for several hours. Apparently electrical wires were burning underground.
