Woman Wakes Up to Find Man in Apartment on Brockway; Palatine Police Arrest Man

Palatine police responded about 4:41 a.m. Tuesday to a report of a residential burglary in the 100 block of North Brockway. Police received a report that a woman woke up and found a man in her apartment. The man was described as a male/white about 5’7″ with long curly hair, wearing a black jacket and blue jeans, and apparently intoxicated. He headed out the back door after claiming he must have gone into the wrong house and showed a California ID.

Police found the suspect by 4:45 a.m. in the neighborhood. Police were investigating the suspect for criminal history and any warrants out for his arrest. He taken into custody and transported to Palatine Police Department Headquarters.
