Arlington Heights police received several calls for a report of a fight and screaming, and then possibly shots fired in the 2100 block of South Goebbert Road and South Tonne. Police received a report that two male/white subjects and two female/white subjects were fighting — one subject possibly had a pipe.

Police also received a report that two shots were fired, and that at least one subject fled in a gray Mitsubishi Eclipse. Four subjects were seen walking toward the center of the apartment complex of Tanglewood Apartments.

Just before 3:20 a.m. Monday police found a female bleeding. Firefighter/paramedics were staged nearby and pulled up to location of the injured female.

Just before 3:30 a.m. police found a second female bleeding near her left ear. A second paramedic crew was called to the scene. Police were also searching the area of the pool — finding a blood trail.

No word on how the injuries were inflicted. No known arrests. Mount Prospect police were alerted to be on the lookout for the Mitsubishi. Both victims were transported to the hospital by separate paramedic crews.
