Arlington Heights police received multiple reports of graffiti over the weekend and Tuesday morning. Over the holiday weekend police received a report that a shed was spray painted in the 1100 block of West Hawthorne Street. There were possibly other reports near the West Hawthorne address.
About 10:10 a.m. Tuesday police received a report of gang graffiti sprayed on the fence and garbage cans in the 800 block of North Chicago Avenue.
About 11:40 a.m. Tuesday police received a report of graffiti sprayed on a fence and utility boxes in the 800 block of North Wilke Road at strip mall.
The unknown offender or offenders spray-painted similar graffiti in four locations. Red, black and pink paint was used on fences, utility boxes and sheds.
Summary Locations: #1 1100 Block W. Hawthorne St – Apartment parking lot #2 800 Block N Wilke Rd – behind plaza #3 1000 Block S. Pine Ave – alley and #4 1000 Block S Arlington Heights Rd – behind business.
The crimes are reported to have occurred between Friday, May 27th, 2011 and Wednesday, June 1st, 2011.
