Stabbing Investigation at McDonald’s on Dundee Rd Across from Buffalo Grove High School

VIDEO: One of three males in custody after traffic stop for investigation of a stabbing at McDonald’s across from Buffalo Grove High School.

Arlington Heights police and Buffalo Grove police responded about 1:20 p.m. Thursday to a report of a stabbing at McDonald’s, 15 East Dundee Road. Police responded to a report that three male Hispanics fled westbound on Dundee Road in a white vehicle, and that the victim was transported to Northwest Community Hospital in a silver vehicle. Police confirmed that a victim arrived in a personal vehicle at Northwest Community Hospital. Arlington Heights police also responded to the emergency department at Northwest Community Hospital.

An alert police officer heading eastbound on Dundee Road near Ridge Avenue noticed a white Nissan with three male/Hispanics in the vehicle westbound on Dundee Road. The police officer made a U-turn and the driver of the white Nissan pulled over to the shoulder just west of Kennicott Avenue in front of the Nissan dealership. Arlington Heights police and Buffalo Grove police had three in custody by 1:25 p.m.


Police and detectives from Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove responded to both locations. At the McDonald’s police were checking the property for evidence. No word was available if the weapon was found. A Dean of Students from Buffalo Grove High School also responded to the McDonald’s across Dundee Road.

At least one of the suspects was immediately transported to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. No word on any charges or arrests.
