Northbrook police and firefighter/paramedics responded to the Metra Northbrook train station,1401 Shermer Road on the Milwaukee District/North Line, about 1:45 p.m. Thursday to a report of an injured Commonwealth Edison employee.
The man was transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. No word available whether the injuries were life threatening.
Several ComEd trucks were also on the scene.
A ComEd worker was killed Tuesday in Crystal Lake after he was reported to have been struck by equipment or another object while he was working on a project that was replacing utility poles at the intersection of Crystal Lake Avenue and East Street in Crystal Lake.
