Gas Explosion and Fire Kills Two in Allentown, PA Rowhouse

A natural gas explosion about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday at 544 N. 13th St. in Allentown, Pennsylvania leveled two houses, spawned fires, and prompted the evacuation of about 600 people. The Police Chief said at least two people were unaccounted for after their two-story row house blew up. The row house is owned by Beatrice Hall, 74, and her husband, William, 79. The couple’s daughter-in-law, Michelle Hall, confirmed Thursday morning that the couple was dead.
