At the crowded CST railway station terrorists armed with AK-47 rifles and grenades entered a passenger hall of CST and opened fire and threw grenades. Two five star hotels–Oberoi and Taj hae also been attacked.

The Oberio has been shown on FOXNEWS with several floors of the hotel ablaze — starting at the lobby. The Taj is ablaze on the top floor. Fire started in the Heritage wing. Terrorists moved through the kitchen and head toward a newer wing.

Reports that Westerners have been targeted in these attacks. People with British or U.S. passports were shot and killed on site or taken captive.

The Taj hotel is the site of many top deals in international business and commerce.

Three people were killed in a bomb explosion in a taxi in Mazegaon dockyard road.

Gunmen then sprayed bullets at a popular restaurant, Cafe Leopold, and in the lobby of the Taj.

A boat packed with explosives was defused at the Gateway of India.

Mumbai, India, formerly Bombay, is the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra and the financial capital of India. Mumbai is the home of Reserve Bank of India, the Bombay Stock Exchange, the National Stock Exchange of India and the corporate headquarters of many Indian companies and numerous multinational corporations.

The attack is described by some experts as a classic terrorist act — take out the police first and then have free reign to do what they want. The terrorist may have accessed the city via Gemini inflatable boats.
